Euphoria tattoo emo11/30/2023 The other artists in the shop were really cool too! Everyone there is so kind and do what it takes to make the experience better for you. I ended up paying less (HALF THE AMOUNT) for the much better coverup than I did for the actual tattoo, so definitely decently priced for the best in town!! I'll have to go back in a little bit for touch ups but Alain truly saved me and he is just an amazing artist. The coverup Alain did hurt 10 times less than the initial tattoo even though it was more detailed, bigger, and he was tattooing on top of the old tattoo. We met two weeks later (6 weeks into the healing process) and he had an incredible tattoo of a peony where the blowout and eyes used to be. He was honest and told me the skin wasn't ready to be covered up yet. He was so easy going, kind, and made I was comfortable. After the tattoo artist there had blown out the tattoo so much so it looked like my arm was bruised and distorted the actual tattoo, I began speaking to Alain at Euphoria for coverup ideas. Originally I went to old glory tattoo shop for a tattoo on my forearm. I guess I will have to find a local shop to do the touch-ups and pay for it since I cannot coordinate my times in the Tallahassee area to Mike's touch-up policy. I am totally frustrated that this shop, so well talked about, treated a customer in this way. I explained I was driving 6 hours for this to be done and the person who answered said that was Mike's policy, even though my last touch-up appointment was on a Friday. I called to make another appointment for Friday, March 10, and was told that Mike did not do touch-ups on Friday or Saturday. I had top cancel that appointment due to personal reasons but said I would reschedule next time I was going to be in the area. I called and made another appointment for Friday, February 17, for Mike to do the touch ups. I came back home and after the healing process realized that some of the letters were not inked completely showing some skin within the outline. As Mike worked he told me about the shop's policy letting me know touch-ups were free. I brought with me a sample of what I wanted so there would be no mistakes. I drove up Thanksgiving 2016 to have two tattoos done, on my right foreman and left wrist. I made an appointment with Mike, as my original artist had moved to SC. I moved to Ft Lauderdale but still wanted the shop to do my next two tattoos. I was so pleased I went back to have her do a half sleeve on my left arm, again with awesome results. The artist that helped me for my first tattoo did an great job of directing me to a design she reconfigured to make it my own. When I wanted my fist tattoo about 12 years ago I went to a number of shops before deciding on Euphoria because of all the rave reviews I had heard of the artists there, especially Alain, as well as the good vibe I got when I walked in the door. If I had to guess, you probably felt like you got bad service because you were being a bad customer. I’ll keep it short, customer service is a two way street and if you want to be respected for giving Euphoria your business then show your artists respect. I also feel inclined to address some of the bad reviews I’m seeing. I don’t think there’s a style of tattooing that you can’t get done at this shop, they all are so talented and can do just about anything you ask. Kate, Michael, and Alain have all done great work on my friends and family and deserve recognition for their dedication to the art. But I have to be fair and give a shout out to the rest of the shop as well. They’ve become good friends of mine over the past several years, a huge reason why I’ve always chosen to come back as if the quality of the work itself wasn’t a good enough reason. I’ve gotten several tattoos from Nate and Luis and it’s always been a great experience. My personal favorite shop in Tallahassee and the only one I will get tattooed at for as long as I live here.

Does murder on middle beach get solved11/30/2023 Playing the game of numbers and statistics. Because I think that’s often what goes wrong in initial investigations. “I have been really careful not to have a hunch. The documentary was a source for discovering Barbara.”īut given that documentaries are often supposed to be objective, Hamburg tried to separate himself from having confirmation bias when it came to the murder investigation. I never got to know my mom as a human being. “I didn’t even know about the gifting tables. Working on the project shed light on what would become important sections of the documentary. I realized I need to invite the audience in and my goal became giving proper weight to a question like, ‘Did you kill my mom?’ That became our mission statement moving forward.” Getting to Know BarbaraĪs Hamburg said, Murder on Middle Beach became not only a way of trying to figure out what happened to his mother, but also a way of getting to know her. True crime, as a subgenre, has a tendency to fetishize brutal crimes and characterize real people. “My biggest fear was creating something exploitive. Hamburg remarked that he can see the evolution of his filmmaking through the series, where it starts as amateurish, trying to interview as many people as possible, and then starts to hone in on something really intentional with a “fly on the wall” style of filmmaking. And after asking questions, I realized I was grieving someone I didn’t know, and I became obsessed with that.” I saw it as an opportunity to immortalize her, because at that point I was really fearful that I was going to lose her memory or my memory of her. So when I was in the documentary class, it was the first time that I had divulged to my classmates that my mom had died. “I didn’t want to be the kid whose mom was murdered. I have a lot of questions that are still unanswered.” ‘Did You Kill My Mom?’ Courtesy of HBOīack in 2010, after his mother died, Hamburg took a year off, dealing with addiction and grief, before attending the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), where he first started what would become the HBO documentary series in a Documentary 101 class. “The last time I talked to my dad is on camera, in the last episode. The series captivated audiences with its real-life twists and turns, culminating in the final episode with Hamburg’s heartbreaking conversation with the main suspect in the murder: his father. Hamburg’s HBO documentary, Murder on Middle Beach, might be the ultimate form of coping, as it tracks his mother’s life before she was tragically murdered in 2010. “As a kid, not knowing how to process loss, grief, or divorce, I got lost in filming everything. “It’s sort of been the thing I’ve always been good at or had an aptitude for,” said Hamburg of filmmaking. Madison Hamburg’s parents, Jeffrey and Barbara Hamburg, gave him his first camera on Christmas Day when he was 11 years old, the day after they told him they were getting divorced. Awards Daily talks to Madison Hamburg, director of the HBO documentary Murder on Middle Beach, which follows Hamburg’s attempt to find out what happened to his mother, who was murdered in 2010.
